Jack and Vera     and Wordsworth  and Wilson and 2 tiny bears

So, just before I came away I had a letter from a collector. With it was a folded up page from a magazine of an old bear with a request -" Make me one of these but smaller!! So Jack was born! "As I type this I have no idea whether she will like him or not but I was happy with his 'old bear' look and just had to make him a companion. Thank you to my oldest collector and  now a great friend for your idea!!

Jack(on the left of the photo) is made from  a lovely pale golden mohair that I have heavily plucked, shaded and waxed. He has ultra suede paws and is filled with kapok and steel shot for a nice heavy feel. Jack is 4" tall and has large amber eyes and a black embroidered nose & mouth and is fully cotterpin jointed.

 He is Vera (on the right of the photo) has all the same features as Jack but has different eye  and mouth positions.

'Arry

'Arry is similar to Jack & Vera (above) in style and with all the same features but made from a different mohair.This mohair is blonde on an old gold backing. I have added patches and extra stitching on him  and 'Arry is  

Wordsworth is my funny little FatHead character full of things to say!  Just 3" tall he is fully cotterpin jointed and made from cotton fabric lined for extra strength. His material is from the personal ads page of a magazine so we have lots of words and phrases mentioned. Wordsworth has black glass eyes, an embroidered nose & tiny mouth and is filled with kapok, with steel shot in his tum to add weight to his little self. I have added a little shading to add to his cheekiness. There will never be another exactly the same bear

 Wilson

I am rather fond of Wilson who is approximately 4 3/4" tall (12cm). He is made from  a slightly 2 tone golden/ginger mohair with ultra suede paws. he is fully cotterpin jointed and filled with kapok and steel shot. Wilson is a traditional style bear and has a slight hump on his back. He has a sparsely embroidered nose and black glass eyes and I have added shading, plucking and waxing to his face & paws to give him an old feel. he has a rusty old bell around his neck and
