The Redhead and Scratch, Twins, Jones, Tattie and Kitty

Firstly Twins

The Twin on the left is sold . The Twin on the right is looking for a new home. She is approximately 31/2" tall and made from a blonde viscous with hand dyed legs in a bluey green and arms in a dusty pink. She has black glass eyes and an embroidered nose and mouth. She is filled with steel shot and kapok and is totally hand stitched and fully cotterpin jointed. She wears a rusty old bell on vintage pink lace around her neck and

Here is something a bit different from me. I was asked to make something hairy for a book that is being made and hopefully published shortly. So The Redhead was born. She is just under 51/2" tall and made from 2 different mohairs. She has green glass eyes and a red embroidered nose. She is fully cotter pin jointed and filled with kapok, with steel shot in her body for a nice heavy feel

Jones

During World War One many British Soldiers used to be given a little bear by their sweethearts and loved ones. These bears had eyes that were high up on their heads which peeped out of the soldiers' top pockets. This little bear is  my version of these bears. Jones is made from vintage red mohair that  have plucked and aged to give him an 'I've been in the wars' look! He is fully cotterpin jointed and filled with kapok, with steel shot in his body. He has one black glass eye  and another clear glass eye and has a sparsely stitched nose.

 Jones  is 31/2" tall, wears a grubbed up red,white and blue sash, tied with a rusty looking pin and

Tattie

What a nightmare Tattie was to sew!! His fabric is like a thick faux suede and  have given up on him a few times but his comical appearance made me persevere. The majority of him is stone coloured but he has  one brown ear and arm and a brown patch on his foot. Tattie has black glass eyes and an embroidered nose with a tiny mouth. he is filled with kapok, with steel shot in his body for a nice heavy feel. I have shaded and waxed him and he almost looks like a little leather bear. he wears a rusty old bell  on black ribbon around his neck and

Kitty

Kitty is made from 90% llama fur and is just under 4" tall. She has black glass eyes and an embroidered nose with  horsehair whiskers. She is fully cotterpin jointed and filled with kapok and steel shot.

Scratch

Oh dear someone's been fighting!!  This little cat is practically bald. He has yellowish, almost luminous cats eyes and  horsehair whiskers. He has been plucked , shaded and waxed. Scratch is approximately 31/2" tall and made from a ginger mohair. He is hand stiched and  fully cotterpin jointed and filled with kapok and steel shot.
