Ray a vintage mohair bear

I love this bear. I found a folorn looking grubby bear with just one arm and broken eyes at a car boot and just had to rescue him. He was put in the freezer for a few weeks then I carefully took him apart and unpicked and washed him. He was much bigger than Ray but I have only managed to salvage enough fur to make this one bear from him. Ray is 3 & 1/2 inches tall.I just love vintage mohair and would use it all the time if I was lucky enough to find a stash of falling apart bears!

Anyway Ray has black glass eyes,a stitched waxed nose and mouth and is fully cotter pin jointed. He is stuffed with Kapok and has steel shot in his body for added weight. He comes wearing a rusty old bell aound his neck.
