Cordelia, a black bear

Cordelia is made out of black suede fabric that I have waxed and slightly shaded in places for a nice aged leather look. She has brown glass eyes and an aged brown nose.

I love black bears although they are, I find, the most difficult to sew and photograph.

Cordelia is 3 & 1/2 inches tall and is fully cotter pin jointed. She is stuffed with Kapok and has tiny steel discs in her body for added weight. She wears a Tibetan silver angel fairy around her neck on a piece of lace.
