William's Cat. My version of a WW1 Soldier Cat

During WW1 many Soldiers took with them a little bear given by their loved ones which had eyes high up on it's head so that he peeped out of their top pockets of their uniforms.

Not so well known were the Soldier Cats. Here is my version.

William's Cat has black fur which I have plucked, shaded and waxed. He is approximately 3 & 1/2 inches tall when standing and is fully cotter pin jointed. He is stuffed with Kapok, a natural product often used in the making of old bears, and he has tiny steel discs in his body for added weight. He has green glass eyes, a red cross nose and black whiskers and comed wearing a red, white and blue ribbon with a "Hope" charm attached.
